IZIKO Museum-

ABOUT

A big milestone in the Iziko Museum’s continuing legacy was to be marked by a 4-day exhibition in Cape Town. One that would see a combination of mediums and artist congregate in the theme of Ubuntu which was fitting for an exhibition that explored our diversity in southern Africa and all the ways we came to be celebrating our roots, culture and how it all positively feeds into our communities.

IZIKO approached me with a brief for an animation that would explain 4 Concepts of Evolution that shape populations in not just humans, but nature in general. Ever influenced by not only the chemistry and biology of beings but also external pressure, Natural Selection, Mutation, Gene Flow and Genetic drift have also shaped us a human. The piece would have to be animated, illustrated and targeted toward a more teen audience.
